It has been an incredibly strange month and with the bombardment of news about the Coronavirus, it is natural that people are feeling anxious about what lies ahead.
Whilst the impact of the Coronavirus is unfurling daily, it is against the backdrop of Spring that is finally coming through, giving a feeling of hope. Having begun homeschooling my children this week, we have been so grateful that the sun has come out and we can enjoy some blue sky, whilst getting regular exercise in the garden. Only a few days now until the clocks will be changing, which hopefully will go smoothly for those of you with young ones at home.
I am remaining here, just changing how I practice for now.
In light of the current restrictions, I have stopped seeing patients in person for now, and will continue to do this until we are given the all clear to return to business as normal.
For those of you with appointments booked over the course of the next four weeks or so, I will contact each of you individually 3-5 days ahead of your appointment to discuss whether you would prefer to conduct a remote appointment using Skype, Zoom or FaceTime or to re-schedule for when the restrictions on contact have been removed.
I will be changing my available appointments to on-line only for the time being and will increase my availability for people to book in for acute consultations.
Natural Immune Support
During this time, it feels more important than ever to consider what we can do for ourselves to boost our immunity. In our household, this is mainly involving:
Eating healthily, including at least 5 portions of fruit and vegetables a day.
Vitamin D. We are using the sprays from BetterYou. Many people are deficient in Vitamin D, particularly coming out of the winter months.
Regular, moderate exercise. With the children at home, we are doing the Joe Wicks workout every weekday morning to get us going. This has been so popular and what a great way to start the day! We are also using our one outing for exercise to either walk the dog, cycle or go for a jog. Additionally, we are getting out for regular breaks in the garden.
Getting plenty of sleep and rest. We are sticking to routine and no late nights. It feels important at the moment to retain some structure to our days so plenty of rest is needed.
Regular, careful hand-washing.
Taking a good probiotic. Optibac is where I purchase my probiotics from but there are plenty of good options available.

Homeopathic medicines have been used extensively for flu-like symptoms and in epidemics around the world. Homeopathic options can form one part of your approach to the current Covid-19 outbreak but should always be used alongside other measures. If you have current symptoms or are concerned that you may have been exposed to Coronavirus, it is important to call 111 to seek appropriate advice, in keeping with current guidelines.
The government guidelines are continually evolving, so please familiarise yourself with them by clicking here.
If you wish to book in for an on-line acute consultation for remedies that are specific to your symptoms, you can do so but getting in touch directly with me or booking through the website booking system.
**These remedies are to be used alongside conventional therapy not instead of it.**
